Achievements of SACH in 2009

SACH is working with community representatives to raise awareness among people about human rights especially women rights. Trainings are conducted for police to eliminate torture practices by the authorities. Free legal camps are conducted to raise awareness about their legal rights among masses. Paralegal trainings are conducted for community representatives.

SACH is providing assistance in different forms like legal aid, medical assistance, financial assistance, psycho social counseling and legal advice. SACH is providing shelter to the victims of forced marriages.

Out reach visits

During the year 2009, different communities are visited at Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujar Khan, Murree, Haripur, Attock and AJK intended to know the different issues and problems of the masses. It is to develop relevant strategies and provide them relevant information regarding their issues.SACH has conducted 1589 out reach visits in 2009.

IDPs

SACH-Struggle for Change being an implementing partner of UNHCR carried out a pre-mapping exercise to collect baseline information related to the identification of IDP concentration areas, their living conditions and needs. This exercise was prerequisite of the registration of the IDPs.
